Sushi Alley, Exquisite Sushi, Amazing Atmosphere, Audible Conversations :-)

Sushi Alley was the perfect place to treat my daughter for her 25th birthday. It was just the two of us and it was amazing. Talented sushi chefs create unique eats that I've not seen anywhere in Tulsa. 

     They greeted us awesomely and seated us right away. They had people dining, some with children, some without. The ambiance was what I like to see in locally owned restaurants. Music was faint in the background so we could carry on a conversation nicely. 

     We started with the complimentary miso soup...oh the flavor! Serious umami-ness! My daughter ordered the edamame and I ordered something I've never thought of but wished I had...edamame hummus...yes...wow in creativeness and wow in taste. Served with cool, fresh cucumbers and peppers with soft, warm, pita bread.

Edamame Hummus-the perfect blend of edamame beans, cilantro, sesame oil, lemon juice, sea salt and truffle oil/served w/veggies and grilled pita bread  $6/10


     They have a pretty impressive wine list. My daughter ordered a pinot noir and I ordered my favorite, Callia Malbec.  Our Server was awesome...friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful when aiding us in ordering the right items. 

     The food, from the starters to the rolls, everything was so fresh and full of flavor! I can't recall everything we ordered (must save receipts or take notes!) but I will say they offer many of the same rolls other sushi places offer, but again, the flavor was unique, serious umaminess flowed from one roll to the other.

Rainbow Roll-snow crab, cucumber, avocado, topped w/ tuna, salmon, white fish and yellowtail

     I love the inside of Sushi Alley...the bar is lit up all the way across, the rest of the restaurant is small, cozy and has soft lighting.

     This is a great place, period. From service to exquisite sushi and wine list, I give two thumbs up.  It's a great place to meet up with friends, family or a date not just because of the soft lighting and great atmosphere, but because the music isn't too loud, so you can actually carry on a conversation and enjoy top-notch sushi and Japanese cuisine. 戴きます (Bon appétit)!
