Laffa's Falafels Are No "Laffing" Matter! :-D

Another addition to The Brady District proves to be a huge hit. Laffa is the latest eatery to open it's doors downtown with a Mediterranean-Eastern menu and an upscale-casual environment.

It's nice on the inside, perfect for a date or business lunch...

...and even better for happy hour as it's full service bar has seating and adult bevs for you and ALL your friends!

But, alas, this isn't about how nice it is or how great the bar and it's wine list is (it's really, really good too)...it's about the food.

I ordered the small order of Maghreb Nachos and the combination lunch special of the Street Falafel with a cup of the carrot, cumin & tomato soup.

Carrot, Cumin and Tomato Soup 3.99/6.99 Steaming bowl of comfort coming through! If tomato soup is your go-to happy food then you’ll love this! A classic with a Middle Eastern twist. Served with a dollop of garlic labneh, fresh cilantro & a balsamic glaze

For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what that unique taste was in the falafel. I've had it from other places, but this taste was like extra all spice only more herbie. I had mine with the lemony-avocado sauce, pickled slaw, avocado, sumac onions, Israeli chopped salad, hummus, pickles, pickled beets, and sweet potato fries...yes, say it, YUM! From the  carrot-cumin soup to the maghreb nachos to the street falafel...a flavor explosion of spices, plus earthy fresh veggies and sauces. This wasn't a party in my mouth, it was a down-right orgy...seriously. I'm looking forward to going back for dinner where I can enjoy a glass of wine from their nice selection with this food.
